Going out for New Year’s Eve can be fun, but it can also be a huge drain on your bank account. If you want to have fun with your family and friends without going broke, consider hosting your own budget-friendly New Year’s Eve party.
Make It a Potluck
Share the workload with your guests and ask them to bring their appetizer or dessert. Skip on a big meal and just enjoy hors d’oeuvres and easy-to-eat desserts.
Another big expense for New Year’s Eve is the alcohol. Just like the food, have everyone bring their favorite beverage to share. Let them know you are providing the champagne toast, but encourage a wide range of brews and spirits otherwise.
Make Champagne Punch
To make the champagne go further and give it a fruity kick, make a punch. Basic recipes involve combining champagne with a sparkling drink like ginger ale and some frozen fruit.
Keep Up the Decorations
You don’t have to take down your Christmas decorations just yet. Leave them up for the party to help create a festive mood and you can get more use out of them.
Have Some Fun
It can sometimes feel like it takes ages for midnight to arrive. Play some fun games like charades or set up a photo booth with fun props.
From everyone here at Gossett Mitsubishi, have a happy New Year and we look forward to serving you in 2019!
